Momentum
An immersive interactive light installation inspired by Women’s protests and marches from around the world.
The installation was designed for the 100th year of Women’s right to vote Celebration held at Civic square Wellington.
Momentum explores the process of these events and allows visitors to experience an aspect of them. Motion sensors in the 3D printed cloche style lights detect the movement of a user as they pass through, allowing a momentous occasion to occur and providing safety at night. As one walks through this installation they are reduced to their simplest form, regardless of their race, religion, gender and sexual orientation.
